Motorola GR1225™

With Motorola, the future is well in hand.

With the FCC systematically restricting two-way radios to 12.5kHz, Motorola got to work on expanding the audio quality of the increasingly common, narrower width. 12.5 kHz with X-pand technology provides the kind of audio quality you'd expect from Motorola 25kHz.

Attractive, trim, versatile, the GR1225 is loaded with advantages. You may be used to conventional repeaters that dominate whatever space they're relegated to within the office environment. The GR1225 accommodates a built-in power supply as well as numerous internally housed accessories. With the capacity to house options like duplexers, battery revert and enhanced controller within, the modest space it occupies is even more impressive.

The GR1225 is ideal for desktop use in an office setting. It can also become a base station allowing a desktop operator to communicate with other radios in the field. It has built-in basic repeater capabilities. Optional controllers can be added for enhanced features such as telephone interconnect, multiple PL/DPL codes and signaling.

The Motorola 1225 series of phones feature Motorola's X-pand capabilities. X-pand keeps a radio that's built to last 25 years from being obsolete in seven because you can switch to 12.5 kHz and preserve audio quality. X-pand technology actually compresses your voice at transmission. At the receiving end, it expands it while simultaneously reducing extraneous noise. X-pand technology at 12.5kHz can actually outperform 25kHz sound quality.
